I now work in a mortuary as a mortuary technician and working towards my certificate. I have moved from the north east to the south west for this job and this has been harder then expected for me.

I have been in my new job as a mortuary technician for 8 months now. This has not all been fun and games and i have had alot of problems. This has been very hard for me and i admit my diet has slipt because of this. I have been comfort eating and i am really angry at myself for putting all the weight i lost back on and more. I now weigh more then i think i ever have and i am very close to reaching 15 stone, something i do not want to happen. This is why i have been encouraged to get myself back on track and start losing weight. One big thing driving me on is that non of my cloths that fit me before i moved down south fit me any longer!!&lt;br /&gt;I have also been given extra encouragement as i am now going to Hong Kong later this year and i would like to have lost some weight by then. I dream of wearing shorts out there!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, i am trying to sort a few things out with my life. Im starting to get my diet back on track, i have a great new haircut and i have even applied for another trainee job but in a different hospital. have to see what happens with thats but it should be a much better place then im working in now. I &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;haven't&lt;/span&gt; actually gone past 2 stone. I reach it a month ago and have stuck round it by putting on a couple, losing a couple, putting on a couple etc.&lt;br /&gt;to help me lose the weight i have decided to do more exercise, this will mean my weight loss might &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4"&gt;varie&lt;/span&gt; because i will be building up a little muscle. I have also decided to take part in the race for life in &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5"&gt;hartlepool&lt;/span&gt;, from the top of my head i think it July. I would really like to be able to jog the whole thing and get a decent time of less then 40 &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6"&gt;mins&lt;/span&gt;. i have a park near where i live that i have worked out to be 1.2 miles. If i can jog this 3 times then that will get me in good shape for the run and know that kind of time that i can achieve.&lt;br /&gt;I have also started, from l&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7"&gt;ast&lt;/span&gt; night, to do the Natalie &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8"&gt;Cassidy&lt;/span&gt; DVD. &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9"&gt;Im&lt;/span&gt; hoping to do this 3 times a week, run round the park once a week (when the weather in nice) and do orienteering once a week if it is on. I think to help guide me i am going to do a rota every week with my menu for the week and exercise.&lt;br /&gt;I have also started a new job working in a call centre for &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10"&gt;Vodafone&lt;/span&gt;. Not a very exciting job but at least its money coming in and it still gives me time to do my coursework. I have now started the foundation course in funeral directing and i am hoping to take &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11"&gt;the&lt;/span&gt; end exam in June. I &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_12"&gt;don't&lt;/span&gt; have long to do the course, ideally i should be doing a unit a week :S scary stuff. If needed i have 2 weeks to complete a unit. This should take me to mid may, where i can then concentrate on revision and doing past papers. I have finished my unit one and am w&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_13"&gt;aiting&lt;/span&gt; for feed back, if it needs more work doing to it then he will return it. My unit 2 i am &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_14"&gt;struggling&lt;/span&gt; with already but due to time. I have to visit a funeral directors and write a health and safety report. I &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_15"&gt;arranged&lt;/span&gt; this a few months ago and have just been back in touch with the funeral directing company. The problem is they are open office hours and not at weekends. I also work full time. I am now having to take a sick day at work so that i can go to the funeral directors. The first week i didnt loss anything :( but the second week i lossed 2lbs YAY but i want to do better so im going to count the week im on now as the 2nd week and my 2nd week as my first. I want to get good weight losses while im on a sponsored slim.&lt;br /&gt;Im really trying for a loss this week as i am now 4lbs off my 2 stoen mini target. Would be great to loss that 4lbs in teh next two weeks as i am in Scotland on the 1st of march for a Scottish Slimmers meal and id love to have a hair cut for that. I think over the weekend i will have a few meals that are free to make up for any badness.&lt;br /&gt;I think i have been snacking to much and not counting the checks. Realsing this has got my down a bit. I was good today tho and almost went for a cookie bar but had an apple instead. I did weigh myself tho on friday and i had put 1lb on but i think its something to do with me eating the same foods over and over. They do say you need to vary what you eat and thats why this week i will be trying three different recipes:&lt;br /&gt;-Microwave meatloaf&lt;br /&gt;-Pasta and herby sausage balls&lt;br /&gt;-Garlic chicken with couscous&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had the garlic chicken tonight and it was really nice, portions seemed a little small but its filling so that makes up for it.&lt;br /&gt;Well i think varying my diet should help my weight loss, and i am tryng to loss 6lbs in my sponsored slim. i will be happy with any weight loss tho.&lt;br /&gt;Im so proud of myself tho (smug i know) but other times i have dieted i would loss a stone and just give up. This time round i am almost at my 2 stone lossed mark and i am determined to keep going and get to my target weight. It helps that other people in my family are also on th SS diet and i have a supportive boyfriend who eats everything i make. I also conned him into getting him to pay for a haircut when i do reach my 2 stone mark :) there for im getting a treat for it that isnt food based.&lt;br /&gt;I also have a little puppy now so when hes a little older i can take him for walks. They wont be long walks as hes a Newfoundland and at most they only need 30-40 mins walk a day when they get to about 9 months. But i have lossed a total of 22lbs and im so proud of myself. My mum and i will be going to the Scottish Slimmers meal in March, so if i work hard i could lose another stone by then, but i will just see how it goes. Will be nice going there as well as the next day is Mothers Day.&lt;br /&gt;Hopefully i wont find the next two weeks to hard. Another 2lbs and iv lossed 2 stone altogether and when i loss another 8lbs thats my half way point, feel great to have got so far already. I have said to my boyfriend that when i reach my half way point id like to go to the hairdressers and have a nice day out with him. i have to wait and see if that happens but at least its something to aim for.&lt;br /&gt;well i will have something to keep me busy soon as i should be starting a foundation course in funeral directing. The final exam is in June and i will have a lot of coursework and reports to do. But at least its a step in the right direction for what i want to do and keep me busy.&lt;br /&gt;i have also been looking or some new recipes so if anyone has any please let me know. i have found a good site, i believe its called 3 fat chicks. i will put a link on here. the only had thing is that all the recipes are American. Got to keep thinking positively! I did go over my check limit a few days so it is my fault anyway. Will be better behaved this week.&lt;br /&gt;Well i haven't heard anything about the jobs that i have applied for yet. Hopefully in the next few days. That means i have now lossed 15lbs altogether. With only 6 more weeks till Christmas im sure i will be able to reach my own target of lossing 2 stone by Christmas. If i work hard i can lose the 13lbs to reach that.&lt;br /&gt;Well its been a good week. Never mind, i know if i work really hard over the coming weeks i can lose the 15lbs and reach my own personal target of two pounds lossed by Christmas Day.&lt;br /&gt;Well apart from my weigh loss my week has been ok. will hear from a job as a technician by next week. I will still concentrate on the career i really want but at least then i will have money coming in and i will also be starting a foundation diploma in funeral directing. This is making me feel very determined to do it this time. i can feel the change in my body and its making me feel alot better, just keep thinking what it will be like when iv reached my target weight. Or i could just accept the 5 pound loss one :)&lt;br /&gt;If it is true then i am three pounds off losing a stone. Can feel my trousers getting loose already. My work trousers (that i had to but in a size18, the biggest size iv ever bought) are now getting los and i will soon be in the 16s. This will give me a bit more self confidence at least. I still carry on writting everything down and as iv said before it really does help. and even if i have been naughty write it downa nd try and make up for it during the week. hopefully i will have a good week this week and reach my half stone personal target.&lt;br /&gt;so, my own life is still as stressful. my house mate and i havent been talking for a week and he now avoids me at any cost..not good. Im sure things will blow over, were both stressed. It cant eb easy being in final year of university.&lt;br /&gt;My university course is going ok. had a mini breakdown while talking to my lecture after a tutorial. It was so nice that he remebers me from my very first year and he asked how i was getting on and coping now that im finally in 2nd year. Its taken me four years, i did a year in maths and science then first year. i failed 2 subjects so repeated them last year. I explaied that i was doing ok, doing all the work but just didnt want to be there. had a little bit of a cry but he was really helpful. In the first week of the diet i have lost 4 pounds. the first week of uni went just as well. i know my timetable, i know my groups...not like in other years where my name wasnt on any groups.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I found the first week of the diet quite easy and i just have to keep on track and not slip. To make sure i dont i have already got into the habbit of writting everything down and adding it all up as i go, it really does help.
